How to set up a Discord webhook

← Back to planner
  1. 1

    Open your Discord server

You need the Manage Webhooks permission (server owners and admins have it). Webhooks can only be made on desktop or in a web browser, not the phone app.

  2. 2

    Edit the channel

Hover over the channel your team uses for the race and click the ⚙ gear icon (Edit Channel).

  3. 3

    Go to Integrations

In the left menu choose Integrations, then click Webhooks → New Webhook.

  4. 4

    Name it

Click the new webhook and rename it, for example "StintBuddy". Check that the Channel dropdown shows the right channel.

  5. 5

    Copy the webhook URL

Click Copy Webhook URL. It looks like https://discord.com/api/webhooks/123…/abc…

  6. 6

    Paste it into StintBuddy

On the planner, scroll to the Discord box and paste the link into Webhook link. It's saved only on that device.

  7. 7

    Pick a ping and send

Choose No ping, @here (online members) or @everyone, then tap Send schedule or Alert next driver.

Ping each driver (optional)

  1. In Discord, open Settings → Advanced and turn on Developer Mode.
  2. Right-click your own name (or tap your profile on phone) and choose Copy User ID.
  3. Paste that number into the Discord ID box under your name in the StintBuddy driver list.

"Alert next driver" then tags only that driver. The schedule tags every driver with an ID. Drivers without an ID fall back to your @here / @everyone choice.

Tips

  • Treat the webhook link like a password — anyone with it can post in that channel.
  • If messages stop arriving, the webhook may have been deleted. Make a new one and paste it again.
  • Only one person (like the crew chief) needs StintBuddy open; everyone in the channel sees the messages.
